FLY ON THE WALL PERFORMANCE LESSON:
A song is fundamentally about telling a clear story with a specific outcome in mind.

In this fly on the wall lesson we explore how performers need to identify who they’re speaking to, what narrative they’re conveying, and what action/end result/ emotional response they want—whether it’s inspiring an audience to stand up and fight, or singing to a loved one, begging them not to leave.

The key takeaway is that great artists have clarity in their storytelling and if you have a strong emotional reaction, then the audience will be drawn into your story. If you feel It, they will feel It too.
If you don’t know what you are singing about, the general public won’t be able to articulate that, they will just start chatting to their friends during your performance.
