LPMSA UNLV The Latino Pre-Medical Student Association is a pre-professional organization structured to provide support and opportunity for Latino students.

LPMSA aims to develop a support network for Latino undergraduates pursuing health based pre-professional careers. The organization is dedicated in providing opportunities and providing encouragement for Latino pre-professional students. LPMSA will work to establish networking opportunities, clinical experience, peer support, and academic support. LPMSA also strives to support the Latino population in Las Vegas in terms of healthcare and education. We focus on educational outreach to encourage Latino youth to pursue higher education and careers in medicine. We work towards improving healthcare for underserved Latino communities by establishing communication with local healthcare professionals and programs.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second general meeting! We had such a great time together decorating sugar skulls, watching Coco, and discussing our upcoming DDLM event at Springs Preserve. 💀🌼🕯️

We’ve also been busy with educational outreach, sharing more about LPMSA and the pre-med journey with local students! 📚🩺 Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and helped us connect with our community.

LPMSA is collecting hygiene products in support of the Latino Youth Leadership Association until Thanksgiving! 🤎

We’re accepting items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, soap, feminine hygiene products, and other new/unopened hygiene essentials.

Bring your donations to any of our upcoming general meetings to receive service credit!

✨ Every 5 items donated = 30 minutes of service

Join LPMSA as we come together to support su***de prevention and mental health awareness 💙

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Psychiatry & Behavioral Health is collaborating with the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention to host the annual Walk to Prevent Su***de. LPMSA would love to attend as a group to show our support for this important cause.

That’s a wrap on this year’s 1st general meeting!🗓️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for LPMSA’s first general meeting of the semester! We loved meeting all of our returning and fresh faces to kick off the semester together.

A special thank you to Dr. Edgeworth for speaking with us about serving the Las Vegas community and the amazing opportunities available through Touro Mobile Clinics and VMSN! We also wrapped up the meeting with our Spanish Medical Interpreter Training session. 🗣️🩺
