Hiring managers and job seekers say AI is boosting efficiency and helping close skills gaps, but fears are rising around workforce cuts, fewer entry-level roles and what may be lost when technology takes on more of the work.

A new Express Employment Professionals-Harris Poll survey found that 79% of hiring managers say their companies are already using AI, and the productivity gains are real. But so is the unease — 90% of job seekers report concerns about where this is all heading.

While 73% of job seekers are worried companies simply won't need to hire as much, 86% of hiring managers believe new jobs will emerge.
