All Missouri Job Centers operated by the Full Employment Council will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 7.

Last week marked a major milestone for the Kansas City region and its workforce. Leaders from both Missouri and Kansas gathered at Union Station to launch the National Science Foundation (NSF) Critical Materials Crossroad Engine, an effort led by University of Missouri-Kansas City.
"Critical Materials" are rare-earth minerals that power modern life - from cellphones, batteries and semiconductors to medical technologies, pharmaceuticals, and national defense. Investment in KC and elsewhere will help the United States become less reliant on imports and less vulnerable to disruptions in foreign supply chains.
Full Employment Council, Inc. is preparing for the changes to the region's workforce and the new jobs that will result from the research and innovation that is happening now.

Full Employment Council is partnering with Kansas City Public Schools to offer *free* high school equivalency classes toward a HiSET/GED.
Classes start this fall for youth ages 24 and under. Classes meet two days a week at FEC offices at 1740 Paseo.
