We've got more great progress to celebrate with our Jazz District neighbors!
The 18th Street Pedestrian Plaza between Paseo and Woodland is complete, and ready to bring the community together for farmer’s markets, festivals, and concerts. The district also recently added new retail and restaurant spaces. So check out the upgraded, vibrant new space the next time you visit the Full Employment Council office at 18th & Paseo.

You’ll notice some progress in the area the next time you visit our office at 18th & Paseo. Last week we celebrated with our 18th & Vine area neighbors at the ribbon cutting for the new Jazz District Garage, just across the street from FEC.
As the area welcomes more special events and more businesses, this will be a great asset. Parking is free for the first two weeks, with rates beginning June 8.

Congrats to the May 2026 graduates of the Kansas City Public Schools Middle College Program! FEC is a partner in the Middle College Program with KCPS and Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City. FEC provides students with the chance to participate in an internship in a career field they are interested in and learn about financial literacy. The students also learn about creating a resume, interview skills, and the soft skills needed to obtain and retain employment.
We are thrilled to have taken this journey with you, and look forward to seeing what you achieve next, Class of 2026!
