Good evening,
I'm reaching out with a late-night request to inform you that " " as a working parent has officially broken me.

Over the past few weeks, we've wrapped up two sports seasons, survived end-of-year school testing, coordinated theme days, packed snack bags, addressed invitations, and ordered enough cupcakes and pizza to feed a small army.

On top of that, I currently have a dozen-plus family members in town, I'm planning a birthday party for nearly 100 people at a water park this weekend, and I've even outsourced the painting of a birthday rock that will magically appear outside my son's school tomorrow morning.

While I can't wait to see his face when he spots that rock on the eve of his ninth birthday, I feel it's important to be transparent:

I am not thriving.

I am surviving.

Barely.

Therefore, I would like to formally request an emergency PTO day tomorrow so I can cross the remaining items off the never-ending May to-do list and return in June as the dedicated, focused, and reasonably rested social media manager you know and trust.

Thank you for your continued empathy, flexibility, and leadership during this season of organized chaos.
