EGA Associates is seeking Board-Certified Physicians to support the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, PA — a great opportunity for physicians looking to pick up weekend shifts without committing to a full-time schedule.

📍 Altoona, Pennsylvania
🏥 VA Urgent Care Clinic
🗓️ Weekend coverage needed
⏰ 12-hour daytime shifts | 8:15 AM–8:15 PM
📅 Approximately 2 shifts per week / 24 hours
🚫 No call

We can accept physicians Board Certified in:
• Emergency Medicine
• Internal Medicine
• Family Medicine

Key Qualifications:
✅ Recent Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience
✅ AHA BLS & ACLS
✅ Full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C.
✅ ER and airway management experience
✅ Documentation of 2 live intubations required for submission/credentialing

Important: This facility operates an Urgent Care Clinic rather than a traditional Emergency Department, but physicians should be comfortable managing higher-acuity situations, admissions, and stabilization/transfer when necessary.

This could be an excellent fit for an experienced IM, FM, or EM physician who wants consistent weekend work and the opportunity to care for our nation’s Veterans. 🇺🇸
