Musicians aren’t background noise.

I know when you’re out with friends and family, you’re there to have a good time. And that’s totally okay. That’s what live music is all about.

But I wish more people realized what goes into the person standing on that stage.

Most musicians aren’t getting rich. They’re loading their own gear, driving hours to gigs, spending countless hours practicing, writing songs, promoting themselves, and chasing a dream that most people told them would probably never work.

Then they get on stage and pour their heart into a performance, only to compete with conversations happening louder than the music.

No one is asking for complete silence. But if you’re at a live music venue (and yes, there’s a difference between a live music venue and a venue that has live music), take a moment to listen. Put your conversation on pause between songs. Clap. Cheer. Show some support.

Because that artist isn’t just providing background noise for your night out.

They’re sharing a piece of themselves with a room full of strangers and hoping someone is listening.

And trust me, they can tell the difference.

The bartender you were rude to today may manage a venue tomorrow.

The opening act you ignored may headline next year.

The booking agent you stopped responding to may control opportunities you’d love to have later.

Nobody owes you a stage just because you’ve been playing for a long time.

Every artist is competing for the same limited opportunities.

Nobody owes you access to opportunities they spent years creating.

If someone opens a door for you, be grateful, not entitled.

The moment you start believing opportunities should be handed to you is usually the moment they stop showing up.🌵🍀

Hi! 👋🏻

For those of you who are new here, I thought it was about time I introduced myself.

My name is Lyndsi, and I’m the founder of Cactus & Clover Booking. I’m a Texas girl born and raised, a wifey to my husband Josh, and a proud dog mama to Sadie and Birdie. Most importantly, I’m someone who genuinely loves live music and the people behind it.

I spent a few years on the talent buying side of the industry, building relationships with artists, venues, and promoters across Texas. Along the way, I discovered that my passion was helping artists navigate their careers and find opportunities to grow.

That passion led me to launch Cactus & Clover Booking. Whether I’m connecting artists with venues, helping open new doors, or simply being a resource when someone needs one, my mission remains the same: support artists, build meaningful relationships, and help good people succeed.

To every artist, venue, promoter, and supporter who has trusted me along the way, thank you. Your support means more than you know, and Cactus & Clover wouldn’t be what it is without you.
