A Little Angleton Idol Update…

We have some unfortunate news to share regarding Angleton Idol.

After some unexpected changes to the event were presented to us by the venue just a few weeks before the show, we took some time to really consider whether we could still put on the event we had envisioned.

Unfortunately, we’ve decided that the best decision for everyone involved is to cancel Angleton Idol.

This was not a decision we made lightly. We know people had already made plans to attend, and we were incredibly excited to bring this event to Angleton for the first time. We are especially sorry to those who were looking forward to performing and supporting our local musicians.

Sometimes things behind the scenes change, and unfortunately, not every event comes together the way we hope. Rather than compromise the experience or create unnecessary confusion this close to the show, we feel it’s better to be upfront and make the difficult call now.

Thank you to everyone who supported Angleton Idol, shared our posts, reached out about competing, and planned on being there. Your excitement meant more than you know.

This may not be the end of Idol, we’d love to revisit the idea when the right opportunity comes along. Until then, thank you for understanding and continuing to support local music!🤠

A little update on Cactus & Clover!🌵🍀

Now that I’m working full time, I’m being a lot more intentional with how I spend my time. Because of that, I won’t be taking on any new artists for booking. I want to make sure I can continue giving the artists currently on my roster the time and attention they deserve.

Moving forward, we’re going to be focusing more on songwriter showcases, local events, and bringing more live music to the Greater Houston area, especially opportunities to showcase the incredible local singer/songwriters we have right here.

And you may start seeing a little more of Justin Krell! You might see him running some of our events, you might see both of us, and you’ll definitely see us working together behind the scenes to keep things moving.

At the end of the day, I just want Cactus & Clover to continue bringing people together through music.
