Our final athlete spotlight for our 2022 Team Hawaii is Shawn Lewis. Shawn is a below the knee amputee and competes in the stand 1 division. He lives in Lahaina and loves surfing the harbor everyday. Today's athlete spotlight is on Aaron lives on Maui and loves surfing west side waves. He competes in the partially blind division. Surfers in both visually impaired divisions paddle out with a "spotter" to give them verbal cues on what the waves are doing. Then they catch and ride the waves unassisted.
