Secrets of a Hiring Manager

Secrets of a Hiring Manager Created to provide job seekers with career advice, interview preparation, and feedback to let you know what Hiring Managers are really thinking.

Are you a candidate seeking a rewarding career? Have you become frustrated with your job search? Perhaps you’ve recently left an interview thinking, “If only I could read the interviewer’s mind to find out what kind of impression I left.”
Maybe your interviewing skills need a little brushing up. Perhaps your experience is extensive but you just don’t have the personality the hiring manager wants

. Maybe you don’t even know that only one question threw off your entire interview, or that you were too nervous; the reasons behind not landing the job could vary. As a hiring manager I receive hundreds of resumes a day. What you may not realize is that after a while everyone starts to look the same on paper. This is why it is important to make your skills stand out. What can you do to separate yourself from the competition? Are you a Hiring Manager looking to hire “A players” who are culture fits and meet specific requirements but you find yourself struggling with the recruitment process? Are you spending too much time sourcing through resumes and what should be simple prescreening interviews? Tired of wasting time interviewing candidates who don’t really have the skills they listed on their resume? How do you identify the key traits that make a candidate an “A player,” a candidate whose skill-set will help take your organization to the next level? How do you retain an A player once you find them, and where do you find more? Avoid Communication gaps between the job candidate and yourself. Here is an easy way to get the feedback you need to help you land the job of your dreams or hire the right team.
“Secrets of a Hiring Manager” was created as an open forum to provide candidates with career advice, interview preparation, and feedback to let you know what Hiring Managers are really thinking
Secrets of a Hiring Manager also serves as a resource for any hiring manager looking for talent, prescreening interview services, or hiring and training advice.

How I landed my dream role while I was on maternity leave👆

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms reading this especially those healing this year. 🤍

I was 2 months postpartum in this video. Sleep deprived, I was in pain and going to physical therapy not able to workout yet. I was missing my family, and really not feeling like myself. Singing to Tori was the only way I could get her to fall asleep and really it was an outlet for me.

Now I’m 9 months postpartum and I’m realizing healing doesn’t happen overnight. Some days still feel messy. Some days still feel hard.

But maybe that’s the beauty of motherhood. As she grows… so do I.
No need to rush.I’m becoming a powerful new version of myself too.

Also shout out to my husband in the background hyping me up the entire time. 😂

Multiple interviews, an offer she couldn’t refuse, and a senior role at Under Armour.

This is what happens when you stop applying everywhere and start getting strategic✨

If you feel stuck in your job search, it’s NOT because you’re not qualified. It’s because you’re missing a strategy. You can be an absolute expert and rockstar at what you do, and still not know how to get hired (that’s my job🙂).

Comment CAREER STAR and let’s get you the role you actually deserve⭐

2016 taught me it’s never too late to start over.

That was the year my heart broke open.
The year I let go of who I used to be.
The year I became available for real change.
The year I heard feedback that shook me awake.
The year I started my business.

2016 was my second chance.

What you don’t see in these photos…

I was healing from a painful divorce.
I cried more than I slept.
I barely ate.
I was building something new while rebuilding myself.
I was scared I would never become a mother.
Scared I would never find true love.
Scared I was already “behind.”

That season taught me something I had never learned before,
How to ask for help.
How to be vulnerable at work instead of pretending I had it all together.
How to stop carrying everything alone.
It also strengthened my faith in a way I can’t fully put into words.

I had to trust God when I couldn’t see the next step.
I had to surrender control.
I had to believe something beautiful was still coming.
Yet here’s what that season gave me:
Permission to be vulnerable.
Strength to lean on others.
Wisdom to notice who actually showed up.
Courage to choose myself.
And now I look back at that woman with so much love. She didn’t quit. She kept going. She created a life she once only prayed for.

If you’re standing in your own “starting over” season, let this be your sign.
It’s not too late to rewrite your career.
It’s not too late to find true love.
It’s not too late to build new friendships.
It’s not too late to become who you’re meant to be.

💌If you’d like support with your career, DM me . I’m here to help.
