The ’s Bank Black Strategy focuses on supporting and investing in financial institutions, whose purpose is to support and build our community. The focuses on building our youth, teaching what’s not being taught, and supporting educators on the frontlines. Through our many missions, we strive to educate and enlighten our youth.

ePIFhany, founded by Ki OShea, is a student focused company to help educational stakeholders help our students with soft skills needed to be successful in life. The company has a responsibility to work with all educational stakeholders to assist with the plight of our educational system; focusing on exposure and love. While the focus is the student, the company also works with schools and youth organization for professional development and overall "teaching teachers how to teach ALL students" in a classroom.

We are excited to have Ms. Todgi Dozier as our featured artist at our Anniversary Gala next Saturday. We could not be happier to have her art as the decor for our gala. Todgi’s art will also be on sale as she paints live.

Todgi Dozier is a 26-year-old North Carolina native. She graduated with a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2012 and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University in 2015. Though she is very passionate about saving the earth and excelling in the field of landscape architecture, she decided to pursue her true dream of producing modern, creative and uplifting art.

The Black Onion was established in February 2016 and is flourishing every day. The Black Onion’s name derives from cultures all over the world using onions to flavor, season, and enhance palettes. Onions have been an essential part of human healing and needs for centuries. The Black Onion puts a spin on physical healing and welcomes the opportunity as healing for the imagination; interpretation, and representation on what has been labeled normal all while advocating for our people. The Black Onion creates pieces that educate, uplift and advocate for equal rights of human beings, not specific to but especially for people of color. She tries to portray pieces that free our minds of conformity and break what is labeled normal. There is no normal.

As we evolve into appreciating and respecting one another, we break mental chains and barriers and that is what the Black Onion is about. We aren't crabs in a bucket, we are people who should care for, love and support each other. The Black Onion is not limited to any boundaries set by man. Onion’s and melanin will forever be eternal, will forever flavor the mind. Follow your dreams.

Our 1st Signature Event took place at the historical Newsome House in Newport News, VA on September 19, 2015. This was the first opportunity for guests to come and learn all about The Phoenix and the plans for the future. Great people, great food, great atmosphere for networking.
