Company F-1: Finest First Community Company F-1 formed from parts of A Ordnance and B Ordnance when the Corps reorganized in 1959. F-1 is the only outfit remaining from the original 2nd Battalion.

As an engineering outfit, it was one of the three outfits that have won the General Moore Award four times. In 1969, F-1 held all the major awards in the Corps. ts except the Aggie Band, was a member of Company F-1. Company F-1 also started the first Corps Run, which is a motivational run around the campus on every Friday morning before a home football game. This event became a tradition throughout the Corps and is still in practice today. In 1986 Company F-1 was disbanded to join with Company M-1 to form Company L-1. On January 13th 2012 F-1 was re-established. Cadets from every corner of the Quad, Navy, Marine, Army, and Air Force, joined together to reunite F-1 and bring it back to life. This evening, Company F-1 took some time to distribute academic awards for those members of the outfit who achieved academic success in the Spring 2020 semester. The awards were the First Time Distinguished Student (3.25 GPA), Silver Star (>3.5 GPA), and the Gold Star (4.0 GPA). In order to be eligible for awards, cadets needed to have at least 12 GPA hours (hours not taken for pass/fail) worth of credits taken last semester.

Howdy Army!
This Saturday is Rally of the Guidons, and Texas A&M is playing South Carolina in their last home football game of the season. The outfit would like to invite all of those in town for the game to join F-1 at their barbecue before the game located in front of the Corps Sanders building, the barbecue will begin at 1200. The menu will be Smoked ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans the cost of the BBQ will be $8.00 in cash on the day of, or they can purchase online ahead of time on our website for $8.50. https://secure.touchnet.com/C21490_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=165
