Cameron-Brooks isn't for every officer.

It's for the ones who want to transform their careers after active duty, not just land a job.

Sage Davis, Army Captain, graduated from the Cameron-Brooks program in April 2026. And now she's launching her career in sales.

According to Sage, Cameron-Brooks is for junior military officers who want the following:

1. To transform their network: One month post-conference, she'd already spoken with 10 Cameron-Brooks alumni in senior-level corporate roles. "They make this entire network for you."

2. A committed partner: "They care about your future. They invest so much time into you."

3. A track record of success: For 50 years, Cameron-Brooks has helped junior military officers successfully transition to corporate careers. "It feels like a well-oiled machine."

If you're a junior military officer thinking about your own transition, we're here to help. Follow us for more JMO to business transition stories, or contact us using the link in the comments.

The Cameron-Brooks team is excited to announce that Captain Jake Sidner has officially transitioned from U.S. Marine Corps Air Defense Control Officer to Go-to-Market Finance Manager at Motorola Solutions.

What was his journey to get here?
- 5 years in the Marine Corps, developing his leadership skills
- 1 year in the Cameron-Brooks Development and Preparation Program (during his last year of active duty), preparing for interviews and learning to translate his military experience into business terms
- 11 interviews over 2 days at his Cameron-Brooks Career Conference.
- 5 follow-up interviews with industry-leading companies for leadership roles

Now he's launched a great career in business, working on the products first responders depend on.

Congratulations, Jake. We are so proud of you. And congratulations to the Motorola team on an incredible hire!

In 1998, Saša Mirković applied to 385 jobs.

He got one reply.

Today, he leads one of the top private wealth teams in the country. And he just published a book, The Inspire Code, on how to build teams that lead themselves.

But the lesson that shaped him most came from a failure.

In 2018, his business partner left the firm. 80% of the team walked out with him. That was the day Saša realized he'd been talking about leadership without building the thing underneath it.

Trust.

Not trust that's demanded. Trust that's given first, by the leader, every day.

Saša survived the siege of Sarajevo. He served in the military. The mission runs on trust, and so does every great team.

Joel Junker sits down with Saša for a conversation on trust, conflict, and building teams that don't need you in the room.

Most officers leave the military because of a "trigger."

The deployments. The time away from family. Not getting to choose where you live.

If you're approaching your transition, it's important to remember:

"I want out of the military" is a starting point, not a plan.

As Chuck Alvarez, our CEO says, a trigger is not an objective. It is what makes you look up. It's not the destination.

Because if you make the decision based on what you're running from, you're not looking towards what you're building towards.

When you're 35, 40, or 45, what do you want your professional life to look like? What is the best opportunity for you 10 or 15 years from now?

Getting out is not the goal. Building the right next chapter is.

Check out Chuck's full take below.

And if you or any junior military officers you know are thinking about their own goals, we're here to help.

The first annual Cameron-Brooks FIFA World Cup is in the books. ⚽🏆

Congratulations to Geoff for taking home the title and Katie for an impressive second-place finish.

There were great goals, plenty of laughs, and just enough friendly competition.

We spend our days helping military officers navigate one of the biggest transitions of their careers. Every now and then, it's fun to trade career goals for FIFA goals.

Looking forward to next year's tournament.

"If I applied to a job off the street, I would be lucky to even get a rejection email."

That was the reality Captain Austin Wilson faced if he transitioned on his own. An Army field artillery officer with a political science and government background, he worried his experience simply would not translate to business.

And then he partnered with Cameron-Brooks.

Cameron-Brooks has helped military officers move into corporate careers for decades. Over a full year, our team helped him prepare for a successful transition, learn to translate his leadership into language employers understand, and gave him the confidence to pursue industries he never pictured. He interviewed with 12 companies and accepted a medical device sales role with Boston Scientific.

"Cameron-Brooks has changed my life for the better," he said.

Congratulations, Austin. We are so proud of you.

Always great to see our alumni thriving.

Geoffrey Fries and Brock Dudley recently caught up with Cameron-Brooks alum Ian Chambers at Schneider in Houston.

Three Cameron-Brooks alumni. Two Naval Academy grads. One West Point grad. All smiles.

Ian is doing an incredible job leading the maintenance operation, and it was great to spend time with him and the Schneider team. Seeing alumni grow into impactful leaders is exactly what it's all about.

And yes...the Cameron-Brooks swag made the trip, too.
