My name is Heather and I'm a mother of 3 who completed welding school through Germanna Community Colleges Workforce Trades Program in February 2023. I like to take things most people would see as just ordinary, everyday items and create them into something different ! If I'm not welding something together into a new piece of art, you can find me painting or redoing some piece of wood or even things on canvas !

It's been quite awhile since I've shared any work that's been done.
I've taken on a new part time job as a Welding Instructor at Germanna Community College so my side jobs are minimal now. (I still do them when I can!)
This one hit home. 24 years ago my brother passed away in a car accident and my father made a cross out of angle metal to place at the accident site as a remberence piece.
June 30, 24 my youngest (and adopted) son were coming home from the Brantley Gilbert concert and came upon a very bad accident where the young man unfortunately did not make it.
Come to find out, my daughter knew him and reached out to his family and we offered to make a cross like my father had made for my brother many years ago.
Most who know me, know 4th of July is my favorite holiday, and come to find out, red, white and blue were this young man's favorite colors.
So doing what we do best, my younger 2 and I welded up an awesome cross and painted it like a flag with his dates on it for his family.
They have now placed it where his accident was.
I hope they find comfort in this as much as I do the one my father made for my bother ❤️🤍💙
