“My participation in the Young Professionals of Fort Worth through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has truly been a worthwhile experience. Each session was loaded with information that has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I really liked that the sessions were during the lunch hour, which is different than what other young professional programs offer. In addition to the informational sessions, I was provided a number of opportunities to attend exclusive events hosted by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – some of which I receive on-going opportunities to attend. I have been able to make impactful changes in my personal and professional journey through the knowledge and skills gained through the Young Professionals of Fort Worth program.” - Eva Williams, Class of 2016

Looking for a volunteer opportunity?

Educational First Steps works with over 90 existing daycare centers in low-income, at-risk neighborhoods in 22 school districts across North Texas and serve over 5,700 children each year.

On Saturday April 22nd from 8am-12pm, EFS is having their third annual Day of Service event. They will serve eight partner centers that are in desperate need of various beautification projects that are located in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington. Projects may include interior and exterior painting, light landscaping, creating garden areas, and playground improvements.

By beautifying these centers, we can set off a positive domino effect for the entire community; well-maintained centers lead to higher enrollment and increased staff salaries, parents no longer have to choose between maintaining employment and caring for their children, and the children served get a strong academic foundation that will enable them to be successful later in life.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Fort Worth or Arlington centers, please contact Coral Bell at [email protected].
