UPS just announced 100,000 seasonal hires for the holidays. Sounds like a lot until you do the math: 125,000 in 2024, 110,000 last year, 100,000 now. Second straight year the biggest shipper in the game hired FEWER people.

Translation: stop waiting in the big dogs' line hoping it moves faster this year. It won't. The local warehouses, construction sites, and shops still need people — they're just not putting out a national press release about it. We know where those shifts are.
