Experience a powerful and moving performance that illustrates the complex and compelling interactions between the Kaw (Kanza) people and early European American settlers along the Santa Fe Trail. Through vivid live-action scenes, you’ll be transported back in time.

Did you know? 45–50 Kanza Nation community members return to bring this story to life—leading the narration of Chief Allegawaho, performing traditional dances, and portraying village scenes. It’s authentic, vibrant, and unforgettable.

Hey everybody! Hey everybody! General Voices surrendered to General Weather at Council Grove….but, the rain is OVER! (Okay I may have just rewritten a line from the show.)

Yes, it’s Kansas, but so far, we’re looking good for clear weather tonight, so let’s take another run at it! HO for Kansas!

Well, phooey. It’s not getting any better, is it? Often it splits and misses us, but we can’t take the chance with the lighting and sound equipment. So I guess this is it: no show tonight. All tickets are honored tomorrow. When it won’t be raining. Right???

Anyone up for a midnight show tomorrow? (Kidding. Mostly.)
