We hosted an Open House for our upcoming Lemonade + Life-Skills (L&L) Lite program in partnership with Howard County’s Local Children’s Board (LCB).
Parents, guardians, teenagers, and young adults came together to meet the Consult Lemonade and LCB teams, learn more about the program, ask questions, and begin building meaningful connections.
One of the most powerful moments of the evening came when Ty, a graduate of our very first Lemonade + Life-Skills cohort, shared her testimony. 🍋
Ty spoke about how the program helped change the trajectory of her life, develop her technical and professional skills, and launch her career in tech. But her experience didn’t stop there.
She also shared how our co-founder and CEO, Tierra L. Lathan, personally supported her as she was preparing for her driver’s test.
That moment reflects the heart of Consult Lemonade.
Yes, we equip our participants with the technical skills, soft skills, and career preparation needed to compete in today’s workforce. But we also build relationships. We see the whole person. We create life-changing moments that extend far beyond the classroom and the workplace.
Tierra often says that she is blessed to have the opportunity to serve as our co-founder and CEO… and she means it. Leadership here is about the people. It’s about showing up for those we’ve been called to serve.
This is Consult Lemonade. Transforming families… one tech job and one meaningful relationship at a time. 🍋
