My new graduate career consulting package is geared specifically for young adults graduating in 2025. Its 3, one on one hours but the last 60 minutes can be divided into 2 thirty-minute sessions or 1 thirty-minute sessions and 2 15 minute-sessions.

If you are working in your dream job and getting paid as much as you feel you are worth, you can ignore the next few posts about your LinkedIn Profile.

Every day, Recruiters, such as myself, are scouring LInkedIn for great candidates for our clients. Great opportunities often go to people that were not even applying for the jobs!

There are a few reasons why recruiters reach out on LinkedIn and I can discuss that at another time but suffice it to say, we do it, because it works!

We find amazing candidates to present to clients by being proactive and not just sitting and waiting for great candidates to come to us.

This is why I am such an advocate for keeping your LI profile up to date and optimized.

First big tip is get a new profile photo. Your photo, whether you like it or not, makes a big difference to your job search. If image didn't matter, more of us would show up to job interviews in sweats. Professional photos can help but if you cannot go that route right now, have a friend take a photo of you in good lighting and crop it to fit. The photos I have here are stock photos but represent do's and don'ts.

*I realize some of you have very good profile photos but so many people don't I feel pretty comfortable making a blanket statement. If your photo is similar to the hearted photos, you're good!
