NFA was proud to recognize Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Our Asian Pacific Islander Network hosted several events for staff, including a tai chi class, a potluck where staff learned traditional Asian games and a lunch featuring several Asian cuisines.

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, NFA was thrilled to host a conversation for staff with Anita Chen, Sr. Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Vistar. Anita spoke with Jason Sit, Manager, Member Oversight about her career journey and upbringing. Anita and Jason also discussed her decision to pursue a career in finance and the importance of advocating for yourself.

Throughout April, NFA's Be Well Employee Resource Group hosted several events in recognition of Neurodiversity Awareness Month to educate staff about neurodivergence. Activities included a relaxing coloring activity for staff and a panel where staff members shared their experiences as neurodivergent individuals or caring for neurodivergent loved ones.

NFA was delighted to celebrate Take your Children to Work Day. Over 50 children visited our Chicago and New York offices for a fun day learning about NFA and its mission. As part of the day's programming, participants created a resume and played a game of Jeopardy.

Christie von Ohlen, Head of External Affairs & Communications, spoke with John about his career in the derivatives industry and decision to launch John Lothian News. They also discussed industry innovation and the importance of learning new skills throughout one's career.
