Commercial Construction Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Ranger Construction Company is a commercial general contractor specializing in upfits, renovations, and maintenance of office, industrial, and medical properties in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Ranger One-Call is a division of the company, and the Human Resources role serves both groups. Ranger has been in business for over 20 years and is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
Essential Functions:
• General office duties including writing letters, answering phones, filing, preparing reports, assisting with incoming/outgoing mail.
• Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
• Resolve administrative problems
• Provide polite and professional communication
• Manage and administer company provided cell phones, iPads, laptops, including assisting with set up and troubleshooting.
• Manage the assignment of vehicles to new employees, tracking vehicles, fuel cards, key box management, overseeing maintenance logs
• Office management duties including, stock supplies, meeting coordination, event updates and reminders, birthday and sympathy cards
• Assist in supporting and planning company charitable and networking events
• Assist with managing Website / social media updates
• Manage company uniforms distribution.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of two years administrative experience.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience; Associates degree or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Publisher
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced, open office environment
• Capable of interrelating with personnel at all levels of construction activity
• Must follow company and client policies and procedures
• Capable of clear verbal, written, and electronic communications
• Must take initiative to complete tasks and look for opportunities to assist other employees
• Team player that models team player behavior
• Personable and professional demeanor, works cooperatively, and customer service oriented
• Organized, task oriented, and follows through in a timely manner
