Licencia de conducir preferida Capacidad para operar camiones y remolques diariamente hacia y desde las propiedades de los clientes.

8/12 Today in Florida History from the Florida Historical Society!

1919 – The quarantine on livestock from Brevard, Osceola, Washington, and parts of St. Lucie Counties was lifted on this date, as the state began “systematic Tick Eradication work.” Between 1915 – 1960 state and federal officials constructed cattle dipping vats (CDVs) to help eradicate the cattle fever ticks which spread an infectious disease known as Cattle Tick Fever. By the end of the program, some 3,200 vats were built and used throughout the state, many of which were simply filled in or left open with little to no pollution mitigation work done.

8/13 Today in Florida History from the Florida Historical Society!

1925 – The Town of Naples in southwest Florida was incorporated on this date. The area was first settled in the late 1880s, but growth stagnated into the early 20th century. With renewed interest in the area in the 1920s, the Seaboard Air Line Railroad reached Naples in 1927, and the Tamiami Trail connecting Naples with Miami was opened a year later. These infrastructure improvements allowed winter visitors and potential investors access to the remote southwestern corner of the state. Progress again slowed during the Depression years, but after WWII, the area attracted new residents and continued to grow into the 21st century. In 1930, the population was just under 400 residents, but tripled by 1950.
