We are pleased to announce that Laura Siewny has been promoted to International Customer Service Specialist, reporting to the Manager, International Customer Service. Most recently, Laura served as the Corporate Account Manager supporting Region B. In her new role, Laura will handle all day-to-day customer service functions for Strongwell’s international customers.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Maine at Machias. Laura lives in Abingdon, Virginia, with her husband Nate, and daughter, Lexi. In her spare time, she enjoys reading a good book and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

This week's education focus post kicks off our Summer Internship program. Meet our fourth year intern, James "Braden" Wilhoit. His manufacturing experience at Strongwell began as a work-based learning placement with Tennessee High School. He is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Milligan University and is a member of their baseball team. He has been assigned to the Machine Build/Machine Manufacturing group where he will be developing a part rotator and a trolley upgrade for the grit station.

Behind the Scenes of Strongwell's Success: The Virginia House of Delegates recently approved (video included) House Joint Resolution 285 commending Strongwell for its ongoing manufacturing contributions and community impact initiatives. Delegate Israel O'Quinn presented the resolution on the floor with a brief synopsis of Strongwell’s history, mission, and most recent award presented by the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing for its STRONGDEK® product line. Delegate Israel O’Quinn and a representative from Senator Todd Pillion's office presented the official resolution to Strongwell’s leadership team. We would like to extend our gratitude to our team members and community for their support and dedication towards the success of our organization.
