Happy Monday!

Check out the rad calendar that Shifting Gears has put together! Grab a friend or five and make some plans.

On Sunday, March 8th, take an evening to transform from a week of mud, dirt and sweat into your inner diva by celebrating with us in the Boundary Bay Mountain Room from 6PM to 10PM. Ballgowns, fancy pantsuits, old prom dresses and the like are all welcome attire for this indulgent evening.

We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel beautiful! A silent auction, drinks, and dancing music will fill the evening so that you and your best gal pals can celebrate what it means to be a womxn to you.

Raise your hand if you ride The Ridge! Calling all hands on deck to help the Jacks Bicycle Center Queens of Dirt Racing & THIS Sunday.

Because The Ridge serves as the north-side entrance to Galbraith, re-opening the trail is very important to the WMBC Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition so come out and help us!

Date: Sunday, February 9th

Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm

Location: Kiosk at top of Ridge (bottom of Cedar Dust and Family Fun)

What to bring: gloves, sturdy shoes and water

VOLUNTEERS! Most likely we will be throwing branches and other debris from the trail, so this is a family-friendly event!
Let’s encourage volunteers to come out and lend a hand!

Happy New Year! The last CX race is THIS weekend!

Hop on over to register for the season finale of Cascade Cross Series and join us for the party!

It's also our last CX pre-race clinic with Kristi Berg (or the first of 2020 depending on how you look at it, really).

Come to the course starting line at 11:00am and pre-ride the course with other women, and learn the tips and tricks of this course with Kristi, our very own coach.

This is free of charge thanks to the generosity of Cascade Cross Series who sponsored these clinics all season! Bring your bike, a friend who is new to cross, and come race with us.

We are super excited to kick-off cyclocross in this weekend with Cascade Cross Series!

Thanks to the generous support of our friends at Cascade Cross Series are offering pre-race clinics with our amazing coach & teammate Kristi Berg for the entire season. No charge for all women and girls who are registered to race.

What is a pre-race clinic?
We pre-ride the lap and stop at individual sections of the course to work on technique. Kristi gives experienced racers tips and shares details for new racers.

Who are these pre-rides for?
All levels are welcome! Mothers bring your daughters. Frens bring ya gurls. Daughters bring your mom. All ages are welcome.

Why?
Because cyclocross is fun! We are super excited for another season of supporting CX racers who are new to the sport. These pre-race clinics are no cost to all women and girl racers.

What bike do you need?
If you're just starting out, ride what you got! We recommend tires with nubby traction, like a mountain bike. Our title sponsor Jack's Bicycle Center can help you out. If you have questions about bikes, find a Queens of Dirt at the race. We're excited to have racers in every category this year.

When should you get there?
Arrive at the start/finish area 10 mins before the clinic start time because we have to leave the finish area as soon as the first rider finishes.

It's a wrap! The 2nd Annual Queens of Dirt race was amazing! Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and every person who helped this day happen! We'll post photos and send out an email to all of the participants soon, but for now, the rain clouds have cleared and we have RESULTS!
