We are partnering with the Wong Center for Education provides schools with STEM based education enrichment learning classes to children that reinforce learning in school. The programs focus on robotics, programming, and engineering with curriculum to
students from 1st to 12 grade public and private schools. The program is delivered through Wong Center for
Education’s partner Chasewood Learning.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a
background in teaching and a commitment to providing quality education to students in our after-school program to
schools in Aurora. Classes are held daily, Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm to 5pm for elementary schools and
2:30pm to 4pm for middle schools. If you are enthusiastic about teaching and making a positive impact on young
minds, we encourage you to apply.
As a teacher, you will work with children to instruct, problem solve, and guide them through hands-on projects
based on robotics and related STEM topics of interest. Class sizes are between 10 and 30 children. Teachers will
work with an assistant and a site coordinator.

Pay will depend upon your role and experience, from $30-50 per hour. 6+ hours a week.

Responsibilities:
*Teaching after-school classes at various schools in Aurora, different locations each day of the week.
*Manage class, attendance, and student progress.
*Set-up and take-down class.
*Organization and upkeep of materials and equipment for classes.
*Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
*Provide instruction in various subjects, including robotics, coding, and related STEM topics of interest using curriculum.

Requirements:
*Knowledgeable about technology, computers, tablets and software
*Willing to spend time to learn and explore topics such as coding, robotics, and other child-friendly STEM technologies
*Must have reliable transportation to and from locations.
*Ability to lift 15-25 lbs.
*Teaching experience is required.
*Experience with robotics or computer programming recommended.
*Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
*Must pass a background check. On boarding will include fingerprinting., Must complete required DCFS training and
Faith’s Law documentation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
