Happy Earth Day from Baltimore! Today, some of our team spent the morning cleaning up our neighborhood - block by block, trash grabbers and bags in hand!

We talk a lot about our responsibility to the planet: measuring and reducing our carbon footprint (8,310 metric tons CO2e reported in 2024), earning the Climate Label Certification, building products that avoid single-use plastic, and working to reduce the volume of our packaging.

But responsibility also shows up in local acts like cleanups, tree planting, and decisions we make as consumers and commuters. The places we live and work matter too.

Today, our team spent the morning alongside the incredible at Masonville Cove, supporting their ongoing work to restore and protect one of Baltimore’s most unique natural spaces.

Together, we removed over 80 pounds of shoreline debris in just one hour.

Masonville Cove, the nation’s first Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership, represents what’s possible when communities, organizations, and agencies come together to care for both people and the environment. And their impact goes beyond cleanup, tracking the types of waste collected to help inform data-backed legislation like Maryland’s plastic bag ban.

It’s a reminder that small, local actions can ripple outward, shaping healthier ecosystems and stronger communities.

Hawai’i is facing its worst flooding in over 20 years. Waialua, Haleiwa, and communities across Oahu’s North Shore are facing damaged or destroyed properties, disrupted roads, and boil water advisories. In these situations, access to safe water can’t wait.

LifeStraw is donating 300 Peak Series Collapsible Squeeze Bottles to Response, whose emergency team is in Oahu prioritizing safe drinking water distribution and cash assistance to affected families and community members.
