Employee Anniversary Spotlight – Get to Know Kara!
Please join us in celebrating Kara Vartanian, Senior Account Executive, on her 8-year anniversary with Reliance One, Inc.!
For the past 8 years, Kara has brought dedication, positivity, and genuine connection to everything she does. Her ability to build strong relationships, support both clients and coworkers, and stay grounded through every challenge makes her such an important part of the team. Kara’s kindness, authenticity, and team-first mindset truly reflect the values of Reliance One.
Let’s take a moment to get to know Kara a little better!
R1: What’s the best trip you’ve ever taken and why?
KV: In May 2024, my husband Trent and I spent two weeks traveling through Europe, visiting Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain. It was an incredible experience. There was so much history to take in and explore at every stop. Having the opportunity to travel internationally together and immerse ourselves in different cultures is something we’ll always remember.
R1: What’s your personal “comfort routine”?
KV: After a long day, I’m most comfortable sitting on the couch snuggled up next to my Goldendoodle watching some sort of Bravo show. Reality TV is my guilty pleasure – I’m obsessed!
R1: What value do you try hardest to live by?
KV: These are two really small things – but be kind and be a good listener. I think I really value when people are their true genuine selves, and really take time to listen and get to know me, so I try to do the same and live in that value in my day to day.
R1: How do you usually handle stress when life gets overwhelming?
KV: When life gets crazy and everything seems to fall apart all on the same day, I try to get out of my office and talk with my coworkers. They’re one of my biggest support systems. They’re always willing to listen, available to bounce ideas off of, and hold me accountable when I’m being dramatic!
R1: What’s a work challenge that taught you the most?
KV: This isn’t a specific challenge, but learning how to fail and being rejected has taught me so much. It’s easy to get caught up in rejection, but sometimes you just have to set aside your emotions and ego and move onto something else.
R1: What’s your go-to background noise when you’re focused?
KV: I’m someone who is not afraid of quietness. Sometimes I’ll have a podcast playing in the background, but sometimes I just close my door, sit in silence and get to work!
Congratulations, Kara, on 8 amazing years! Thank you for your hard work, leadership, and the energy you bring to Reliance One every day. We’re lucky to have you on the team!
