LIMITED OPEN CALL FOR NEW MODELS
How to Become a Commercial Model with Sunshine Productions:
Here’s what we look for when considering commercial models for representation with our agency:
1. Appearance.
Sure, it’s great to be “conventionally attractive” and height-weight proportionate, but often, other factors are also essential. Casting agents always seek talent suited to their brand. So they may place importance on a specific demographic—particular facial features or ethnicity, age group, specific hairstyle, body type, skin type, or personality “vibe.”
2. Presence and how you move and speak.
Clients may seek to shoot video footage (such as B-roll for social media campaigns) or to conduct live, in-person promotional events (such as trade shows or product launches). For these bookings, they want models who can portray the right expressions, movements, and persona for that specific assignment. For example, they may be looking to cast a young athlete who exudes confidence and agility. Maybe they’re casting for a sophisticated businessperson who knows their way around a boardroom or parents of a young family on a weekend outing. They may require someone who speaks well or has other skills, posture, attitude, and style that the assignment requires.
3. Attitude and professionalism.
To the public, modeling often appears glamorous but remember--it’s still work. Casting agents and modeling clients value talent who respond to opportunities quickly, arrive on time, have a patient and “can-do” attitude, take direction well, and understand that it takes everyone working together as a team to make any shoot a success.
4. Convenience to the Dallas/Fort Worth/North Texas region.
The majority of our clients book shoots and events in this area. Needing to travel too far to get here will incur added expense and make it difficult for you to accept a booking (and will cut into your rate).
