Volt is immediately hiring a Maintenance Technician for a local leading organization in Algodones, NM
As a Maintenance Technician you will:
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in daily activities/objectives.
• Lead the Maintenance team in daily objectives
• Learn the various production machines as an operator to gain a thorough understanding of the operational aspects of each component.
• Ensure and promote safe operation of equipment through engineering controls and best work practices.
• Ensure 5S initiatives are meet both personally and departmentally.
• Inspect buildings, equipment and equipment to identify and resolve any issues.
• Diagnose and repair faulty equipment and damaged structures.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Lead/Assist in scheduled PMs and repairs to ensure timeliness and accuracy of repairs.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment, addressing and correcting issues.
• Communicate issues and repairs with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Manager ensure continuous improvement efforts are made where applicable.
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
• Fill in, as needed to operate equipment in Machine Operator absence.
Maintenance Technicians must meet the following requirements for consideration:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar lead/supervisory role
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer knowledge(MS Suite and Internet)
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures, best practices, and techniques
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on your own.
• Ability to be on your feet for your full shift as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Open and flexible schedule, able to work overtime including weekends, and evenings.
This is a Full Time Temp to Hire position.
The schedule is Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm
Pay for this position is $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE
