Most people visit the Jim Thompson House… and leave right after the main tour.
Big mistake.

After your guided tour, you’re actually free to explore the entire compound—and that’s where some of the best parts are:

✔️ Smaller structures filled with decor and photos
✔️ Peaceful garden corners perfect for photos
✔️ A second-floor exhibit space (sometimes FREE!)

During my visit, I stumbled upon a temporary exhibit that made the experience even more memorable.

💡 Tip: Don’t rush. Plan at least 2–3 hours here to fully enjoy the place.
