The National Editors’ Forum (NEF) is deeply saddened by the passing of Emmanuel Joseph Akile, a dedicated journalist of Eye Radio, who died today in Juba.

Emmanuel Akile was a committed media professional whose voice, integrity, and passion for journalism greatly contributed to informing the public and strengthening the media landscape in South Sudan🇸🇸 His loss is a painful blow not only to Eye Radio but to the entire media fraternity.

NEF extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues at Eye Radio, friends, and the wider journalism community during this difficult time. We stand with you in mourning and remembrance of a journalist who served with professionalism and dedication.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
