Job Summary
A leading hospital in Qatar is seeking a strategic and commercially focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial management, planning, reporting, and control functions. The candidate must have mandatory hospital or healthcare-sector financial experience, with a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycles, financial sustainability, cost management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the hospital’s overall financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control functions.
• Oversee financial reporting, accounting, cash flow management, treasury, and financial risk management.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, capital expenditure plans, and long-term financial strategies.
• Monitor hospital revenue, operating costs, profitability, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Oversee healthcare revenue cycle management, including billing, insurance claims, reimbursements, collections, and receivables.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative leadership to improve financial performance and cost efficiency without compromising patient care.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards, tax requirements, statutory obligations, and relevant Qatar regulations.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, insurers, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
• Evaluate capital investments, business cases, expansion plans, and financial feasibility of new services or projects.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership.
• Lead and develop finance, accounting, budgeting, and revenue cycle teams.
• Present financial reports, performance analyses, and strategic recommendations to executive management and the board, as applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA is strongly preferred.
• A postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is an advantage.
• Mandatory senior-level financial management experience within a hospital or healthcare organization.
• Proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of healthcare finance, hospital cost structures, revenue cycle management, insurance claims, and payer relationships.
• Experience in financial governance, risk management, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and strategic decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Qatar’s healthcare and financial regulatory environment is preferred.
