A British school is looking for a Marketing & Admission Officer to help carry out of marketing plans to boost School brand awareness.
Specifications:
• Liaise with the School’s marketing agency to measure the impact of the marketing campaigns.
• Deliver the activities set out in the approved annual Marketing & Communications Plan.
• Together with School colleagues, act as a public face for the School in communicating with parents (both existing and prospective), the local community, media, and other interested parties.
• Identify the publicity/news value of pupil achievements/operational developments and promote them accordingly.
• Develop and manage networking and engagement programs to enhance the School’s relationship with parents, prospective parents, and the wider community.
• Develop promotional opportunities such as Open Days and Open Evenings. Advice on event planning to improve audience experience and ensure the communication of key messages and appropriate brand values.
• Manage applications and student documentation, contact parents if placement is available
• Attend external meetings as required by the Principal
Experience, skills, and personal qualities
• BA in Business Administration. With 5 years experience.
• Experience in a marketing, communications or PR role.
• Experience in working in an educational environment.
• Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to tailor content and format to different audience needs and the ability to ensure a high degree of accuracy is maintained at all times.
• Initiative and ability to work without direct supervision.
• Excellent user of IT, particularly databases and spreadsheets.
• An excellent telephone and personal manner with a smart professional appearance..
• The ability to be able to explain clearly, concisely and confidently complex points to parents both verbally and formally through written communication.
• A team player who is happy to go beyond their own responsibilities to help others at busy times.
• An understanding of the need for, and commitment to, confidentiality.
• Ability and willingness to work outside normal office hours as required.
• Preferred local hire.
