Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
i. Ensure full compliance with all applicable tax laws and finance acts (CIT, EDT, PAYE, WHT, VAT, TP, CRS, etc.)
ii. Monitor and ensure timely payment of all taxes to relevant government authorities
iii. Ensure accurate deduction of taxes from applicable transactions
iv. Coordinate tax audits and supervise all tax-related functions across the organization
v. Identify opportunities within tax laws to optimize the Bank’s tax position
vi. Implement processes for timely filing of annual tax returns (PAYE and Company Income Tax)
vii. Review tax accruals (PAYE, WHT, CIT) in the general ledger and reconcile with schedules
viii. Conduct year-end tax accrual reviews and prepare tax provisions with supporting documentation

Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or related field
· Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is required
· MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the banking sector, preferably in a tax or finance role
