Saudi Arabia has made visa on arrival available to Pakistanis and other nations with valid UK, US, or Schengen visas on their passports.
Under the newly created facility, tourists would be able to undertake Umrah but not Hajj.
Applicants can also obtain a multiple entry visit visa on arrival in Saudi Arabia by paying a cost of SR440 (about Rs18,040) using their credit cards, as cash transactions are not permitted.
Pakistan praised the decision, describing it as "an example of the strength of bilateral ties between the two countries."
"We applaud the Saudi government's decision to provide Pakistanis visit visas on arrival, allowing them to conduct Umrah."
