Job Description:
A Rope Access Electrical Technician combines the skills of an electrician with the ability to perform work at
heights using rope access techniques. Responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance,
inspections, and repairs in elevated or difficult-to-access locations using rope access methods. The
technician ensures that all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs on equipment and
Systems located at height.
• Install electrical systems, wiring, and components in challenging
Locations.
• Utilize rope access techniques to reach work areas safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all rope access equipment is maintained and inspected according
to regulations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk during rope
access operations.
• Follow industry safety standards, company policies, and regulatory
requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare safety plans for rope access
projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure
functionality and compliance.
• Use specialized equipment to test electrical systems in difficult-to-access
locations.
• Work closely with other team members, including Level 3 Supervisor,
Senior supervisor, and safety personnel.
• Communicate effectively to ensure coordinated efforts and project
success.
• Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and clients.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or diploma in electrical engineering or a related
field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrical technician.
• Experience in rope access work (IRATA Level 1 or higher certification
preferred).
• Proficiency in electrical maintenance, and installation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Competency in rope access techniques and equipment.
• excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good physical condition and the ability to work at heights
