The American Society of Safety Professionals is a global association for occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals. Since 1911, ASSP have supported OSH professionals in their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities and provide education, advocacy, standards development and a professional community to our members in order to advance their careers and the OSH profess
ion as a whole. The ASSP Pakistan Chapter aims to engage with various stakeholders, including the Government,
businesses, employer and employee representative bodies, academia, and civil society and institutions, for policymaking, capacity building, awareness and sensitization, management systems, and risk assessments, curriculum development, standardization, and developing new consensus standards. The ASSP Pakistan Chapter strives to promote the cause of Safety, Health and Environment in Pakistan, which is essential for sustainable social and economic development. It seeks to enhance safety practices through the professional development of its members and advocacy at all levels to create safer, healthier, and better work environments. This, in turn, promotes sound business practices and contributes to a healthier society.
