WIWAG Business Weeks is a business management training program for students and professionals developed by the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation (ESF) in cooperation with the Institute for Economic Education of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland to enhance business understanding among high school and college students. Since its inception, WIWAG has become part of the curriculum of most Swiss a
nd German schools. The training teaches the participants how best to manage a company/business by enhancing their understanding of departments like Finance, Production, Marketing, and Human Resources. WIWAG is currently being offered to numerous Swiss schools in various countries in Europe and South America. In Asia, it is only in Thailand and the Philippines that this program is implemented. Through the support of corporate sponsors, students from state colleges and universities and community-based groups across the Philippines are able to participate. The training is given to thirty selected participants and is facilitated by volunteer instructors from numerous local companies (e.g. Industry, Commerce, Services) and/or business owners who have undergone intensive training from instructors of the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation
