You can usually tell when a portfolio has outgrown the way it’s being managed.
There are more tabs open than there used to be.
More quick checks that take longer than expected.
More work getting done, but less clarity on where things stand.
Nothing is obviously broken.
It just becomes harder to keep everything visible and aligned.
That’s usually when teams start rethinking how things are set up.
Not in a big dramatic way. Just tightening the basics.
Clear ownership.
Better visibility into where work lives.
More consistent handoffs.
Offshore support can help with the workload.
But it works best when those pieces are already in place.
Otherwise it just adds more moving parts.
