Our 5th Rising Star feature is a woman of today. Meet Maica Tubay, better known as Host Maica, a passionate and dedicated professional who has built a remarkable career in the events industry while making a meaningful impact in the field of education.

Her journey began at the age of 12 when she hosted a simple Valentine's Day program. By the time she was 14, she had already landed her very first wedding hosting event. From those humble beginnings, her passion for hosting and event management continued to flourish. Today, she confidently commands the stage as a professional host while skillfully managing every detail behind the scenes as an events coordinator.

Beyond the world of events, Maica also embraces the meaningful responsibility of being an educator. Balancing these two fulfilling careers allows her to create unforgettable celebrations while inspiring and shaping the minds of the next generation. He continued honing his craft throughout high school and college, eventually taking on hosting engagements in Butuan City through Mic Check 8600 while pursuing his studies at Caraga State University.

Today, Mark brings his signature drag artistry, quick wit, and delightfully unhinged sense of humor to every stage. Specializing in drag shows, pageants, and university events, he also shines beyond drag as a host for corporate functions and family celebrations, gracing every occasion with charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

Who would have thought that a simple NSTP hosting experience back in his college days would open doors to hosting events all the way in Butuan City?

“I came up with the name ‘Daddy Singing Host’ to empower fatherhood—serving as motivation for all fathers who are willing to sacrifice everything for their families,” shares Fredrick Yu.
