What hurts more is not just the reduced hours and lower rate… but realizing there’s already a new full-time hire while you’re slowly being cut back. 💔
From 8 hours and $6/hour…
to 4 hours and $4/hour.
Then suddenly, you see the company welcoming someone new for a full-time position.
You start questioning yourself:
“Was I not good enough?”
“Am I being replaced?”
“Should I still stay or start letting go?”
The reality of freelancing is hard. Sometimes we stay because we need stability, even when we feel undervalued. Sometimes we want to fight for our worth, but bills and responsibilities make us choose survival first.
Not every freelancer has the privilege to walk away immediately.
And not every silence means we are okay.
To every VA, freelancer, and remote worker silently struggling right now:
Your feelings are valid. Your hard work matters. And this season does not define your value. ❤️
If this happened to you, what would you do?
Comment down below how you would feel in this situation and what your answer would be. 👇
A. Resign immediately
B. Stay for now while looking for another client
C. Talk to the client first before deciding
Your story and perspective might help other freelancers going through the same struggle. ❤️
