Who Are We?
Hi, we're Kerrie and Michelle, the owner-operators of Crew Connections Ltd.
We specialise in providing fully qualified Automotive Technicians to businesses throughout New Zealand on a temporary basis. And no—we're not a recruitment agency.
How It All Began!
Crew Connections wasn't created from a business plan—it was created from first hand industry experience.
Kerrie is a fully qualified Automotive Technician who has spent more than 21 years owning and operating her own successful automotive workshop. Having worked on the tools, managed staff, and run a busy business herself, she understands the day-to-day challenges workshop owners face better than most.
After returning home from her overseas experience, Kerrie recognised a gap in the automotive industry. Workshops regularly struggled when staff were away due to illness, annual leave, family commitments, or while searching for a permanent replacement. She thought, "Wouldn't it be great if businesses could simply bring in a qualified technician for as long as they needed?"
The idea stayed with her for years. Then one day she shared it with me. My response? "Let's do it!" From there, we spent countless evenings planning, researching, talking with industry professionals, and figuring out how to turn an idea into a business. There were plenty of late nights, lots of coffee, and more than a few challenges along the way—but it was all worth it.
Today, Crew Connections is helping automotive businesses across New Zealand keep their workshop doors open and their customers looked after.
What We Do - Our concept is simple.
We act as a locum service for the automotive industry, supplying experienced, trade-qualified Automotive Technicians whenever a workshop needs temporary support. Whether it's covering:
