๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Fun fact: in the Netherlands, the bike is often the first choice, not the car. If the distance is manageable, many Dutch people simply cycle to work, school, or the supermarket.

Whatโ€™s especially interesting is the variety of bikes youโ€™ll see on the roads. From classic city bikes and e-bikes to cargo bikes with large front boxes and child trailers attached behind or in front. In many countries these are still a rare sight, but in the Netherlands theyโ€™re part of everyday life. I joined the Marquette office in February 2023. My first day? As is often the case, everything was new, and the amount of information was a little overwhelming. I was learning about the company, its locations, and employee accommodations. In short, I was trying to remember more than my notes could possibly hold!

On one hand, I was excited about my new role as an Accommodation Coordinator. On the other, I kept thinking, "Okay, Justyna, you can do this... I think!" ๐Ÿ˜… Fortunately, the day passed so quickly and pleasantly that before I knew it, it was already time to go home.

Less than six months later, something happened that I hadn't expected at all: I got promoted! I became part of the office team and started a new adventure in reception and administration. The beginning, of course, came with plenty of questions, notes, and attempts to remember who was who. Thankfully, I was surrounded by amazing colleagues who quickly made me feel welcome and part of the team.

Today, I look back on that time with a smile and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to grow professionally. It was my second beginning at Marquette, definitely less stressful and even more exciting. And I can confidently say that it was one of the best career decisions I have ever made! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿš€
