Our Client is a recreational water sports outlet with a jetty facility and activities such as jet skiing, boat cruise, kayaking and repairs of all water sports equipment, with a resto-lounge located in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos. We give memorable experiences to clients through water sports activities and a world-class resto-lounge.

The jetty manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the jetty operations, the restaurant and the resto-lounge. The manager is expected to maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to boost the companyโ€™s brand, profit and revenue.

๐‰๐จ๐› ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง:
๏‚ท Supervises the daily activities of the jetty staff as directed; deploys staff and monitors work.

๏‚ท Develops staff skills, and evaluates performance.

๏‚ท Meets regularly with staff to discuss and resolve workload and technical issues.

๏‚ท Trains staff on work methods, procedures, techniques and safety.

๏‚ท Monitors Jetty activities and operations to verify and enforce compliance with rules and regulations imposed by the air quality board, water board and other governing agencies.

๏‚ท Operates and positions crane and boat straps to lift and remove a variety of boats from the water for shoring and to return to the water; shores boats by positioning stands under boats to allow owners and vendors safe and efficient access to boats for repairs and maintenance; operates jib boom to step and unstep masts, remove or place marine engines from or into boats.

๏‚ท Operates pressure washer to clean vessels.

๏‚ทSchedules jetty services for customers by overseeing hostess activities.

๏‚ท Operates mechanical yard sweeper to clean boatyard grounds; organizes and maintains equipment including boat stands and heads, crib blocks and various supplies.

๏‚ท Collects and records information about dust from sanding, paints, lacquers, stormwater run-off and other air or water board regulated products and events; calculates water contaminant levels and prevents or stops work when necessary to maintain environmental compliance; prepares and submits reports as necessary.

๏‚ท Monitors stormwater retention levels and operates filtration plant; monitors environmental contamination levels and verifies compliance with water board requirements; maintains records of stormwater levels and plant operations; submits reports as necessary.

๏‚ท Manages jetty chandlery; ensures that inventory of products is appropriate and turns over regularly. Calculates prices; checks stock and reports losses to Management, ensures that sales are accurately entered into Jetty Management system; orders new inventory and coordinates with vendors.

๏‚ท Maintains a variety of operational and compliance records, and prepares and submits reports as required. Calculates jetty fees and collects and processes cash, check, and credit card payments from
customers; maintains budget and accounting records for boatyard operations; prepares biweekly cash deposits.

๏‚ท Opens and closes the jetty offices; provides customer service by answering phones and e-mails, providing a variety of information about boatyard services; maintains retail inventory; orders stock items, place customer orders; receives shipments and stocks or delivers to the customer as appropriate. Manages jetty contractor registration process; facilitates new applications; maintains files,
checks for expiration of insurance certificates, licenses and other documents and pursues renewals.

๏‚ท Ensures communication throughout the chain of command.

๏‚ท Ensures training requirements of subordinate staff are met

๏‚ท Performs other duties as required or assigned.

๏‚ท Knowledge of Nigerian Waterways

๏‚ท Effective communication and interpersonal skills

๏‚ท Ability to manage customer pipeline and oversee customer satisfaction

๏‚ท Any certification under Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) will be an added advantage
