Job Title: Quality & Metrology Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Lagos

Job Summary:

The Quality & Metrology Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the quality assurance, metrology, inspection, and qualification systems within the Advanced Manufacturing Division. The role ensures that all metallic and non-metallic additive manufacturing materials, processes, and manufactured components comply with applicable engineering specifications, customer requirements, and international standards.

The role is responsible for engineering metrology, dimensional inspection, quality assurance, Build Process Qualification (BPQ), Process Qualification (PQ), Batch Qualification (BQ), calibration management, inspection planning, traceability, quality documentation, and continuous improvement in accordance with ASTM, DNV-ST-B203, ISO, API, and internal quality management requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Engineering Metrology & Inspection

➢ Develop inspection plans for manufactured components.

➢ Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections.

➢ Conduct dimensional verification of metallic and polymer components.

➢ Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.

➢ Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier callipers, micrometres, bore gauges, height gauges and other precision instruments.

▪ Build Process Qualification (BPQ)

➢ Plan and coordinate Build Process Qualification activities.

➢ Verify qualification builds comply with approved build parameters.

Review machine calibration prior to qualification activities.

Coordinate production of qualification coupons.

Review build records and process logs.

▪ Process Qualification (ASTM & DNV)

➢ Support Process Qualification activities for additive manufacturing systems.

➢ Develop qualification plans.

➢ Coordinate mechanical testing requirements.

➢ Review qualification results.

➢ Maintain qualification reports.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering.

* Minimum of 4-5 years in manufacturing, quality, manufacturing quality, metrology, inspection. Additive manufacturing experience is desirable.

* Analytical thinking, attention to detail, documentation, teamwork, communication, organization and continuous learning.
