Cultivating "awareness" is indeed the preliminary activity in the “I-opening” experience of meeting your authentic self. Living your life oblivious to your thinking patterns and beliefs, day after day, year after year, is a habit that encourages and elevates your ego or false self.

Eckhart Tolle states that “awareness and ego cannot coexist” because awareness encourages and elevates your authentic self to be the center of your life experience. Although the false and authentic selves are mutually exclusive, I believe that knowledge of both is valuable. The way I see it, if you’re going to practice "Shunning Excuses", your primary relationship needs to be 100 percent with your authentic self.

It’s sort of like when you know you should lose weight. No one can do it for you. Eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, it’s all up to you. Sure, you can have a team of people who help you make smart decisions through education, but those people can’t make you go to the gym, or feed you nutritious food.

Taking action is not as hard as you think. Here are 10 tips to help you start taking action:

Cultivate an abundance mindset. Once you open your mind to the abundance of wealth all around you, you can harness it to achieve your dreams. View fear as a temporary hurdle, not a state of being. Go under it, over it, around it, through it - but don't hang around in it. Remove the words "can't" and "try" from your vocabulary. Instead, consider how you can do it and then either chose to do it, or not to do it. Take responsibility for your actions. If you make a mistake, learn from it and move on. Don't shift blame to others, but don't wallow in self-recrimination either. Act, learn, grow. Act, learn, grow. Be generous. We live in a world of abundance, remember? Give for the sake of giving, not because you're expecting something in return. Be kind. Why not? It's easy, it's free, and it benefits you as well as others. Set and enforce healthy boundaries. The Goals we have determine the kind of strategies we will put in place.
So the question now is....what's our financial goals.
Many of us are not financially OK because we don't even have financial goals. We are just believing by God's grace, and we can't actually get there if not by His grace. But WHERE do we want to get by that His grace? No where because because we don't have a set goal.
