Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Monthly Closing
Lead the full month-end closing process and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.
Ensure accurate accruals for ingredients, packaging materials, utilities, and production costs.
Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).

2. Manufacturing Cost Control
Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs including raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and utilities.
Conduct variance analysis between theoretical and actual ingredient usage.
Identify and report production waste, stales, returns, and inefficiencies that impact profitability.

3. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
Prepare and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Provide Budget vs Actual variance analysis and financial insights to the Finance Controller / Management.
Recommend cost-saving initiatives and financial improvements.

4. Audit & Internal Control
Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with statutory, audit, and corporate governance requirements.
Establish and improve internal control systems.

5. Tax & Statutory Compliance
Manage all corporate tax filings, SST/GST compliance (if applicable), and statutory reporting.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manufacturing tax incentives.
Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities.

6. Financial Management
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Monitor company cash flow and working capital.
Support management with financial planning and strategic decisions.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance or Accounting.
Experience in manufacturing environment is highly preferred, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Experience in costing, inventory control, and production cost analysis will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, costing, and audit processes.
Good understanding of Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Candidates must be able to communicate in Mandarin / Chinese, English & Bahasa Malaysia(This is required to liaise with internal teams, management, and external stakeholders.)
