Iqbal Afdza merupakan ex-Medical Engineer selama 4 tahun, membuat keputusan untuk sertai industri takaful sepenuh masa (full time) semenjak tahun 2015. Sekarang telah memegang jawatan Unit Manager di SAR Group, Prudential.

My Journey

I never dreamed of becoming an insurance agent. But being an insurance agent has enabled me to achieve my dreams.

I began my career in the corporate world as an HR practitioner. As a people person, I enjoyed my work, giving my best to support the company’s objectives. After 12 years in 3 different corporate giants, I craved a different challenge, a different journey. I wanted a more fulfilling role - doing something that enabled me to touch someone’s life directly, while achieving work-life balance. I tried retail as a business - and realized I was more suited as a consumer rather than a retailer 😂 I maintained the entrepreneur goal - just shifted my focus towards the Takaful/insurance business instead. This is where I am since 2013.

The scariest thing I did was to leave a secure 5-digit paycheck to jump into the unknown. No sales background, no technical training in insurance; just trust in the agency’s development system. Alhamdulillah, it has been the best career move for me - the income, the rewards, the travel, the work/life balance, the career & personal growth. It could be the best move for you too. You just have to start. Let me be your guide!
