Position : Industrial Engineer
Responsibilities:
1) Analyze production processes: Conduct thorough assessments of our timber manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
2) Design and implement improvement initiatives: Develop and implement strategies, methodologies, and systems to optimize production flow, minimize waste, and improve productivity in line with industry best practices.
3) Layout and facility planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize plant layouts, considering factors such as equipment placement, material flow, and safety regulations.
4) Time and motions studies: Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks, streamline work methods, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance overall productivity.
5) Capacity planning: Assess production capacity and develop strategies to meet current and future demands by identifying resource requirements, including equipment, labor, and space.
6) Process documentation: Create detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures, to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
7) Data analysis and reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and generate insightful reports for management to support decision-making processes.
8) Health and safety: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and facilities comply with health and safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
9) Overall, of machine moulding, finger joint and laminating activities.
10) Ensure finger joint and laminating schedule, quality and safety standards are met.
11) To undertake other related jobs as directed by the superior from time to time.
12) To ensure all jobs move smoothly and alert from time to time.
Requirements:
1) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Industrial Engineering are preferred.
2) Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering roles, preferably within the timber or wood processing industry. Experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and plant layout design is highly desirable. 3) Knowledge of timber industry: Strong understanding of the timber industry, including knowledge of wood processing operations, equipment, and manufacturing processes commonly used in the industry.

5) Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
6) Analytical mindset
