Gabriel De Ita, founder of De Ita M.A.
From a young age, Gabriel De Ita developed a passion for fashion and sales. Upon coming of age, he began working for fashion houses in Mexico City, such as Adolfo Domínguez and Massimo Dutti. Later, he focused on visual merchandising, fashion coordination, and fashion production—a career path that led him to the Book One Models agency in 2007.
During this time, Gabriel managed relationships with international models arriving in Mexico City from countries such as Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and Argentina, while also liaising with international bookers and mother agencies. He also collaborated with the agencies Boga Models and Models Zone, providing consulting services and booking models for them.
In 2009, alongside five partners, he created the beachwear fashion platform "Fashion Weekend Swimwear," organizing events in Los Cabos (2010 and 2011) and Acapulco (2011). Concurrently, he developed and produced runway shows in Mexico City, Querétaro, Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, and managed the Diesel and Kosiuko brands for a year.
He was a founding partner of the Fashion City boutique on Avenida Presidente Masaryk, where he handled public relations for Mexican, Colombian, and Brazilian designers—including Altezza Rock, F. KAMANA, and Luxury Secret. In 2013, he began working as an international booker and executive producer in Cancún for the Runway Management agency, where he discovered local talent and developed their profiles to introduce them to the modeling market.
He specializes in the direct booking of international models to serve the client market in Cancún, the Riviera Maya, and Tulum. He manages incoming international and national production teams arriving in Quintana Roo to create their campaigns; he has collaborated with brands such as Magia do Mar (Brazil) and Bari Swimwear (Mexico), and notably facilitated the 2018 Rafitthy campaign featuring Fernanda Lima in the Riviera Maya (working with Mangaba Producciones). He also collaborates on fashion events like Holbox Fashion and Tulum Fashion.
While continuing to produce fashion shoots in Mexico City, he decided to move to São Paulo, Brazil, in 2022, where he began shooting and creating personal productions to expand his portfolio as a photographer and fashion producer. He started handling international bookings and placing Brazilian models in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, China, India, Egypt, Indonesia (Jakarta), Thailand, and the UAE (Dubai), among others.
In 2025, leveraging his market experience and aiming to establish a stronger reputation in the international modeling industry, he launched the brand **De Ita M.A.** The agency focuses on interviewing aspiring new faces for the international modeling industry; to be approved for representation by Gabriel De Ita, candidates must undergo a development and preparation process lasting nearly a month. During this time, aspiring international models learn the "know-how" of the international modeling market and the business structure—viewed much like an investment market—where the agency seeks opportunities to invest capital, and the model presents an opportunity with the potential and skills to recoup that investment for the client or agency.
