✨ Test Format (11–14 minutes)

🔹 Part 1 – Introduction & General Questions (4–5 mins)
Simple questions about you: work, family, hobbies, daily life.
Goal: show natural fluency.

🔹 Part 2 – The Long Turn (3–4 mins)
You get a task card + 1 minute to prepare, then speak for up to 2 minutes.
Goal: organize your thoughts and speak continuously.

🔹 Part 3 – Discussion (4–5 mins)
Deeper questions related to Part 2 topics.
Goal: show critical thinking and advanced language.

✨ What the Examiner Is Looking For (The 4 Scoring Criteria)

1️⃣ Fluency & Coherence

Can you speak without long pauses?

Are your ideas connected logically?

2️⃣ Lexical Resource (Vocabulary)

Do you use a variety of words?

Can you paraphrase when stuck?

3️⃣ Grammatical Range & Accuracy

Can you use both simple and complex sentences correctly?

4️⃣ Pronunciation

Can you be understood easily?
(Not accent—clarity.)

✨ Tips to Make Speaking Easier & Boost Your Score

✔️ Practice speaking English daily – even 10 minutes a day improves fluency.
✔️ Don’t memorize scripts – examiners detect rehearsed answers instantly.
✔️ Expand your responses – add examples, feelings, or explanations.
✔️ Use fillers naturally – “Let me think…”, “Well…”, “Actually…”
✔️ Learn to paraphrase – a key skill that shows strong vocabulary.
✔️ Record yourself – helps you spot weak points and build confidence.
✔️ Relax – it’s a conversation, not an interview.

IELTS Academic – Speaking Tips (How to Prepare & Pass)

Speaking is one of the most manageable parts of IELTS when you understand what the examiner is looking for. It’s not about sounding “perfect”—it’s about communicating clearly and confidently.

✔️ Simple tips to help you prepare and score higher:

1. Practice speaking daily – Use English in real conversations, voice notes, or recordings. Consistency builds fluency.
2. Focus on clarity, not accent – Speak clearly and naturally; no special accent is required.
3. Expand your answers – Add a reason, example, or explanation to show depth.
4. Use varied vocabulary – Avoid repeating the same words; show range where possible.
5. Avoid memorized answers – Stay natural; the examiner can tell when responses are rehearsed.
6. Practice common IELTS topics – Family, work, hobbies, travel, culture, technology, etc.
7. Breathe and stay calm – Treat the test like a friendly conversation.

Our beautiful Emma gracing the streets of Heathrow airport yesterday and for the first time.

Since last year visa rules have become so tight and many a nights I go to sleep telling myself that I cannot help people relocate anymore.

I tell myself that I have to dismantle the guidance groups.

It is stressful. Any negative responses, any failed interviews means extra effort and heartache. I live in the moment with the applicants.

But I wake up the next day and find myself still trying.

And then God pops up with a victorious and loud win.

Like today.

Ahh..God you have blessed me too much today. I am grateful for this win for Emma.

Please bless her new journey, may all her dreams come true. I am also happy that she joins her sister whom I supported 2 years ago and is already a nurse leader.

Granny is just soooooooo proud.

Congratulations Emma and welcome to Winter.

🎉✨ A Joyful Update — Dreams Do Come True! 🇰🇪🇬🇧

Earlier today, I shared how Emmaculate, based in Kenya, had an interview for a UK job through Overseas Consultancy. Well, I have more news — and my heart is so full right now!

Out of 7 people who were interviewed, only 2 were successful, and Emmaculate is one of them. 🥹✨ And guess what? She was the only Kenyan in that group. Today, I carry my flag with so much pride — 🇰🇪

I just spoke with her on the phone — she is overjoyed and so grateful. Moments like this remind me why I do what I do. It’s not always easy — the waiting, the rejections, the prayers, the follow-ups — but when the door opens, it makes every step worth it.

To everyone still trying: Hold on. A regret letter doesn’t always mean No. Sometimes it means Not yet. Be patient. Keep believing. And if you ever run out of patience, I will gladly carry it for you — just like I did for Emmaculate.

Today, we celebrate her win. Tomorrow, it could be yours.

🌍✨ One by one, step by step, dreams come true.
With all my heart, Overseas Consultancy is here for you.

✨ A Little Testimony to Encourage Someone Today! ✨

Yesterday, Emmaculate, based right here in Kenya, sat for her UK job interview — an opportunity she secured through Overseas Consultancy. 🇬🇧✨

Getting to this point wasn’t easy. It took long nights, careful applications, constant follow-ups, and faith when it felt like nothing was moving. Many people get tired and give up along the way — but I have learned to be intentional with every step. When someone loses hope, I carry it for them. When patience runs out, I stand in the gap.

For me, helping people find these opportunities is not just work — it’s something I do with my whole heart. Every CV we polish, every email we send, every door we knock — I do it with care and prayer, believing that your “Yes” will come in its own time.

Remember: A regret does not always mean No. Sometimes it means Wait. 🌱

So if you are waiting, don’t give up. Your turn is coming. And if you ever need someone to stand with you — Overseas Consultancy is here to hold your hand and push through together.

May Emmaculate’s story remind you: Keep the faith, stay ready, and never stop trying. 🌍✨

🚫✨ An Honest Update for All Aspiring Care Givers ✨🚫

Hello everyone,

I want to take a moment to share something important — especially for those who dream of working as care givers in the UK.

Recently, the UK government has passed new stricter immigration rules. This means many care companies can no longer hire care givers directly from overseas as they did before. For many genuine, hardworking applicants, this has closed a door that once felt open.

I know this news is disheartening — but I want you to hear this from me: Please be very careful. Scammers are already taking advantage of this situation. They create convincing websites, professional emails, and fake job offers promising UK sponsorship — only to ask for money and disappear.

If someone says they can “guarantee” you a UK visa right now — be cautious. Double check. If in doubt, ask me.

I share this not to discourage you, but to protect you. I know how much this means to you and your families — and I am always intentional in what I do to see you succeed genuinely.

Yes, the UK door has closed for now — but that doesn’t mean the journey ends here. Other countries are still welcoming care givers: 🇨🇦 Canada
🇦🇺 Australia
🇲🇹 Malta
…and more. Opportunities are still out there — they just require patience, the right guidance, and honest effort.

So please, don’t give up. We keep moving forward, one step at a time, one country at a time. When you feel tired, I will stand in the gap for you — just like I always have.

Stay hopeful. Stay alert. And remember — Overseas Consultancy is here to walk this road with you honestly and intentionally.

🌍✨ One door closes, another opens. Let’s keep going!

👉 DM me if you have any doubts — let’s verify together and protect your dream.
