大韓民國國慶日レセプションに参加しました

10月2日（月）にリーガロイヤルホテル大阪で開催された、駐大阪大韓民國總領事館主催の大韓民國國慶日レセプションにご招待いただき、当財団理事長及び職員が参加させていただきました。
他にも主に近畿地方の外交官や政治家、日韓関係機関の方々がご出席されており、会場は大盛況でした。

韓国の伝統的なダンスで始まり、駐大阪大韓民國総領事河 泰允氏のご挨拶にて、2017年に韓国で新政府が設立されたことと共に、日本と韓国との間に新たな交流活動が始動したことが紹介されました。また、2018年に開催予定の第23回冬季　平昌オリンピックへの意気込みや、オリンピックの影響から日本と韓国の友情がさらに深まることへの期待等を述べられました。

その他、大阪府知事 松井 一郎氏、奈良県知事 荒井 正吾氏、参議院議員 二之湯 智氏からご挨拶があり、関西担当大使の鈴木 庸一氏が乾杯の音頭を取られました。

レセプションは立食パーティー形式で行われ、参加者は料理を楽しみながら互いに交流を深め、共に大韓民國の國慶日を祝いました。

About the Participation in the Reception for Celebrating the National Day of the Republic of Korea

Mon. October 2, 2017 upon receiving an invitation, our Director o board and a member of staff participated in the reception party for celebrating the national Day of the republic of Korea. The party was held by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Osaka at the Rhiga Royal Hotel Osaka.
It was a well-visited event in which many representatives of overseas governmental institutions, representatives of the Japanese governments as well as representatives of various companies and institutions related to the Japanese-Korean Correlation.

After the presentation of a traditional Korean dance performance Consul General Ha Tae-yun held a speech to greet the audience. He stated that after a change of government in Korea, also a new cooperation between Japan and Korea has started and talked about his hopes that this new cooperation and also the Olympic winter games that will be held in Pyongyang in 2018 will help to even further develop the relation between Korea and Japan.

Other speeches followed by Ichiro Matsui, governor of Osaka Prefecture, Shogo Arai, governor of Nara Prefecture and Satoshi Ninoyu, member of the House of Councilors. After the presentation of the members of the various Korean Residents Unions in Japan a toast was held by Yoichi Suzuki, ambassador for Kansai.

The reception party which was held in form of a buffet party was used by the participants to amiably talk about the development of the Japanese-Korean relationship.

フィリピンビジネスミッションにて通訳しました！

2017年6月26日（月）、リーガーロイヤルホテル大阪にてフィリピンビジネスミッション2017が開催されました。フィリピンビジネスミッションは同国観光省が毎年開催しているイベントです。
今年はフィリピン観光省、退職庁の他、現地の航空会社、旅行会社、ホテル、観光施設など43の団体が出展し、フィリピンの最新観光情報を日本の旅行業界を中心としたゲストにPRしました。

大阪のイベントには、フィリピン共和国観光大臣のWanda Corazon Teo氏とフィリピン共和国観光省次官Benito C. Bengzon Jr.氏が列席。フィリピンの観光大臣が日本を訪れるのは8年ぶりのことです。

イベント第一部の『トラベルマート』商談会では当財団法人のボランティアスタッフが通訳として参加し、円滑なコミュニケーションのため大いに貢献しました。8名のボランティアは通訳の他、会場設置、受付、来賓応対等多岐に渡る業務を担い、その優れた英語力、マナーや対応力等について、ご来賓及び主催者様から高い評価を受けました。

June 26th, 2017, the Philippine Business Mission 2017 was held at Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka.

This annual event is each year organized and held by the Department of Tourism of the Philippines (DOT). This year it was hold in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo with more than 43 organizations from the Philippines participating in the event. You could meet with representatives of the DOT, the governmental Retirement organization, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, sightseeing operators and more.

This year DOT Secretary Ms. Wanda Corazon Teo and undersecretary Mr. Benito C. Bengzon, Jr. participated in this event too, after for 8 years no leading local member of the DOT had visited Japan.

The volunteers of our foundation supported the event as interpreters at the travel mart – a roadshow for travel agents. Thanks to their high professionality and friendliness they received a very positive feedback.

大阪のESLロードショー

２０１７年５月１６日（火）に開催されたフィリピン観光省主催のフィリピン英語留学セミナー及び相談会に参加しました。
Our members participated in the seminar and Business meeting for ESL studies in the Philippines. This event was organised by the Department of Tourism of the Philippines and held at May 16, 2017.

近年、フィリピン留学は高いコスパで注目を集めています。今回のイベントにもたくさんの参加者がいて、高い人気を感じました。
Due to a very good cost-performance studying English in the Philippines has become very popular in the last years. This time as well, many representatives from various business fields came together to learn more about studying in the Philippines.

3月3日（金）神戸のホテル ラ・スイート神戸ハーバーランドにて、タラ財団日本大使の北野武氏が主催する、タラ号太平洋プロジェクト歓迎激励会が開かれました。

フランスの非営利団体「タラ財団」は、タラ号を用いて2003年より環境調査と保護のための活動を行っており、2017年3月2日から5日間神戸港に訪れていました。

タラ号の活動を祈念するとともに、クルーへの歓迎の意を表すという目的で開催された歓迎激励会には、タラ財団日本大使の北野武氏をはじめ、フランス大使館・領事館からのゲストやタラ号乗組員などが参加し、料理や会話を楽しみました。

この歓迎激励会では、日本アジア振興財団理事長の松岡も参加しました。また、当財団のスタッフも、フランス語・日本語・英語の通訳として本イベントでのゲスト同士の会話のお手伝いをさせて頂きました。

日本アジア振興財団はこれからも国際交流のための活動を続けていきたいと思います。

Hosted by Mr. Takeshi Kitano, ambassador for the Tara Expeditions Japan, the welcome party for “Tara Pacific Expedition” was held at the Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland in Kobe on March 3rd.
Tara Expeditions is a French Non-Profit Organization being active since 2003 in favor for the environment, and this ship was in Kobe for five days starting from the 2nd of March.
The welcome party was held to welcome the crew and show appreciation for their work. The host Mr. Takeshi Kitano and many guests, such as guests from French embassy and consulate and Tara expedition schooner crew members, spent a pleasant time having delicious dinner and enjoyable conversation.
Chief of board of JAPF, Mr. Matsuoka also participated in this event. Also, a few members of our foundation accompanied him as French, English and Japanese interpreters to help all the guests to communicate with each other without language barrier.
JAPF is planning on continuing the activities to make people develop mutual understanding between Japan and overseas.

フランスの非営利団体「タラ財団」は、タラ号を用いて2003年より環境調査と保護のための活動を行っています。タラ号とは、過酷な環境にも耐えられるように設計されており、また神話的な意味の名を持つスクーナー船です。タラ財団は、気候変動と環境破壊が海洋にもたらす影響を研究し理解するための、探査プロジェクトを世界中の研究所や権威ある研究機関と協同で行っています。
このタラ号は、2017年3月2日から5日間神戸港に訪れることとなっております。

タラ号の活動を祈念するとともに、クルーへの歓迎の意を表すという目的で、タラ財団日本大使の北野武氏が主催する歓迎激励会が3月3日（金）神戸のホテル ラ・スイート神戸ハーバーランドにて行われます。

日本アジア振興財団理事長の松岡をはじめ、当財団のスタッフも参加することになりました。海外からのゲストが多くいらっしゃる本イベントにて、スタッフが通訳として参加し、日本と海外の相互理解に向けて活動を続けていく予定です。

Tara Expeditions is a French Non-Profit Organization being active since 2003 in favor for the environment. A boat built for extreme conditions, Tara is a platform for high-level scientific research missions. For 13 years Tara has been constantly on the move: The schooner has traveled 300,000 kilometers across all the world’s oceans. The team has accomplished 10 expeditions to study and understand the impacts of climate change and the ecological crisis on the ocean, with concrete results.
This ship will visit Kobe for five days starting from the 2nd of March.

To welcome the crew and show appreciation for their work, ambassador for the Tara Expeditions Japan, Mr. Takeshi Kitano is holding a welcome party on the night of March 3rd, at the Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland.

Chief of board of JAPF, Mr. Matsuoka will participate in this event. Also, will a few members of our foundation accompany him to work as interpreters for the foreign guests at this event and help to develop mutual understanding between Japan and overseas further.

🇯🇵🇺🇸日米協会の新年パテーティーに参加してきました。🇺🇸🇯🇵
We participated in the New Years party of the Japan-America society of Osaka.

日米協会の「２０１７年 新年パーティー」が1月20日（金）リーガロイヤルホテルにて開催されました。
今年も米国人留学生を含む約２５０人の参加者が集まり、恒例の新年パーティーが盛り上がりました。
毎回大人気の航空券や宿泊券を始め、多数の豪華景品が当たる福引抽選会のほか、鏡開きなどといった楽しい 催し物をご用意して頂いておりました。
グリーンバーグ総領事、鈴木特命全権大使（関西担当）、日米協会（JASO）川崎会長やJASOの役員が壇上で“いち　にーの　よいしょ”の掛声で勢いよく酒樽を割り鏡開きが行われました。
パーティーの後半では、恒例の豪華賞品が当たる抽選会が行われました。今年の特別賞はハワイへの往復航空券でした。

日本アジア振興財団は2017年も在大阪・神戸米国総領事館との交流を深め、日米の交流のための活動を続けていきたいと思います。

The 2017 New Year’s Party of the Japan-America Society of Osaka was held at RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka on Friday, January 20th, 2017. More than 250 people including American students attended this year’s New Year’s Party. At first, we had a Kagamibiraki ceremony by among others US Consul General Greenberg, Special Ambassador to Kansai Mr. Suzuki and JASO President Mr. Kawasaki.
Besides a wide range of wonderful food, Japanese and Western, there will be a big raffle, prizes of which include an airline ticket, overnight stay coupons and dinner vouchers at prime restaurants etc.

【ベトナム総領事館の旧正月パーティーに参加しました】
We participated in the Lunar New Years Celebrations of the consulate General of Vietnam.

お久しぶりです！まだまだ新年会などか続きます。前週は、ベトナム総領事館の旧正月パーティーに参加してきました。長い文書になりますので、ごゆっくりとお楽しみください。

1月16日（月）に帝国ホテル大阪で行われました、在大阪ベトナム社会主義共和国総領事館総領事主催の旧正月パーティーに参加致しました。
主に近畿地方の外交官、政治家、在日ベトナム人やベトナム関係の企業代表者が約200人参加しました。

主催者様・来賓の方々からの挨拶があり、特定非営利活動法人日越堺友好協会理事長の加藤均様により乾杯音頭が行われました。
ご挨拶でビン総領事はベトナムの経済成長を紹介し、日越の長い友好関係にスピーチの重点を置きました。2016年、ベトナムを訪れる日本人観光客訪問回数は74万回以上となり、2015年より10.3%増加しました。一方、2016年の中で11ヶ月間での日本を訪れるベトナム人観光客訪問回数は22万回以上となり、26.1%増加しました。また、安倍総理大臣もベトナムへの3日間の訪問を開始しており、3月上旬に天皇陛下もベトナムの訪問を予定していることについて「このような訪問は両国のこれからの交流とも繋がると思います。」と述べました。

2017年はベトナムにとって、また日越関係にとって重要な年となりそうです。まずは2017年に、ベトナムがアジア太平洋経済フォーラムのホストになるという大きなイベントがあります。また、在大阪ベトナム社会主義共和国領事館の設立20周年記念の年でもあり、大阪市とホーチミン市の友好関係10周年記念年を迎えます。

パーティーでは他にも、堺市副市長の狭間惠三子氏からご挨拶を頂き、堺市市長の竹山修身氏からのメッセージを紹介して頂きました。

また、認定NPO法人日越関西友好協会会長の西村貞一氏からもご挨拶があり、2017年は、日本とベトナムの間の交流をたっぷりと体験できるような年になりそうであると述べました。

その後、立食形式で出席者の方々はそれぞれ歓談し、ベトナムのお正月料理を食べたり、ベトナムの伝統的な舞台演奏を見たりしました。旧正月パーティーは和やかで、前向きな雰囲気の中終了しました。

今年も在大阪ベトナム社会主義共和国総領事館と当財団法人は連携を行っていきます。

JAPF participated in the Celebrations for Lunar New Year of the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On the 16th of January, the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held its annual celebrations for the Lunar New Year. JAPF also received an invitation from the Consul General and participated in this event.
The event was well-visited by approx. 200 persons. The assembled participants consisted mainly of foreign diplomats, Vietnamese residents of Japan and representatives of companies doing Vietnam-related business.

The host and the sponsors held greeting speeches and a toast was proposed by the Chairman of the Japanese-Vietnamese Friendship Association of Sakai, Mr. Kato.

In his speech, Consul General Binh introduced the numbers of Vietnams ecological growth and put an emphasis on the long and deep friendship between Vietnam and Japan. He stated that in 2016, Vietnam was visited more than 740.000 times by Japanese tourists, accounting for a growth of 10,3% compared to 2015. On the other hand, in a period of 11 months in 2016, Japan was visited by more than 220.000 Vietnamese, accounting for a growth of as much as 26,1%.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Abe has just visited Vietnam for 3 days and the Emperor and his wife plan a visit to Vietnam in the beginning of March too. Concerning these Visits Consul General Binh said: “I am certain that official visits like this will lead to an even better exchange between both countries.”.

2017 will be a very important year for the Japanese-Vietnamese Relations. First, Vietnam will be hosting the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Leaders Meeting. It will also be the 20th anniversary of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka. Moreover, can we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the friendship between the cities of Ho-chi-Minh and Sakai.

Ms. Hazama, deputy major of Sakai City also greeted the crowd and introduced a message form Major Takeyama.
Mr. Nishimura, Chairman of the Japanese-Vietnamese Friendship association of Kansai also held a speech, giving all the participants the feeling that there is much to look forward to in 2017.

Afterwards, the event continued in the style of a buffet party, where the participants freely exchanged themselves while eating traditional Vietnamese new year’s food and enjoying the traditional Vietnamese show program. The party ended in a peaceful and positive atmosphere.

JAPF will keep on cooperating with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, in 2017.

あけましておめでとうございます！🎉
今年も宜しくお願い致します！

A happy new year to everyone, who we have not yet met in person! 🍾
However, please let me share our new years party experiences below. ;-)

今年もいい年になりますよう、たくさんの新年会に参加して、たくさんの方々と交流をしています。こちらで報告します。

🇰🇷🇯🇵2017年1月5日（木）、駐大阪大韓民国総領事館主催の「2017年新年交流会」が開催され、大韓民国及び日本の団体、企業関係者の方々約250名が出席されました。🇯🇵🇰🇷

冒頭、駐大阪大韓民国総領事館　河 泰 允（ハ　テユン）総領事より、「2017年は世界各国で新しい代表者が選ばれ、世界情勢が変化していく年になると思いますが、韓国同胞社会がお互いに話し合い、助け合い、共に発展していく一年になることを願います。」と新年の祝辞を述べられ、続いて、民団大阪、民団京都、民団奈良、民団和歌山、民団滋賀それぞれの代表者様より新年の祝辞が述べられました。🍻

その後、立食形式で出席者の方々それぞれ歓談し、河 泰 允総領事と記念写真などを撮影し、新年交流会は和やかな雰囲気の中終了しました。

The members of JAPF participated in the New Year’s Party of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea held its annual New Year’s Party at the 5th January 2017. The event was well visited by around 250 representatives of Korean and Japanese organizations as well as members of various companies of both countries.

First, Consul General Mr. Ha Tae-yun greeted the assembled members with the words: “In 2017 there will be new leaders elected in many countries. It will certainly be a year that brings many changes. However, the people of Korea and Japan will keep on exchanging and communing, helping each other out, and together we will make it a year of process for both countries.”
After this positive words we received also words of greeting from representatives of the Korean settlement organizations from the prefectures of Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Wakayama and Shiga.

Following up on the formal greetings we participated in the buffet party, where participants talked freely and took pictures with Consul General Ha. The event finished in a peaceful friendly manner.

Christmas in Venezuela

今日は、ベネズエラのクリスマスを紹介します。
森友理恵さん、ベネズエラのクリスマスについて教えていただいて、ありがとうございます。
Today we will introduce Christmas in Venezuela.

ベネズエラのクリスマスは、美味しい料理や音楽、素敵な人々に囲まれ楽しく過ごすことができます。
Christmas in Venezuela is celebrated with great Christmas food, great music and great people. 🎷

クリスマスイヴの方がクリスマスよりも祝われます。ベネズエラでは、プレゼントはサンタクロースではなくサンニコラスと赤ん坊のキリストからもらえます。🎁🎄
Christmas Eve is usually more cerebrated than Christmas day itself. In Venezuela, 'San Nicolás' (St. Nicholas) & 'Niño Jesús' (Baby Jesus) bring the presents.🎅

クリスマスツリーがある家庭もありますが、キリストの降誕シーンを模した飾り物の方がよく見かけることができます。
Some houses have a Christmas Tree, but Nativity Scenes (Nacimiento) are even more popular.

ベネズエラのクリスマス料理といえば、まずは「アヤカ」です。アヤカとは、肉や野菜(レーズンやオリーブ)を、主食のアレパに使われるとうもろこし粉の生地で包み、それを更にプランテン(バナナのような果物)の葉でくるんで蒸し焼きなどにする料理です。
The most popular Venezuelan Christmas dish would be 'Hallacas'. It is a dish made of meat and some vegetables (like raisins and olives) that are are wrapped in maize dough (which is the same one used for making Venezuelan dairy meal: arepa) and plantain leaves. Everything is tied up to be boiled or steamed.

「パンデハモン(ハムパン)」もクリスマスによく食べられる料理です。パンデハモンはハムやレーズンやオリーブなどが入ったパイ生地で作られる料理です。
the Pan de Jamón is also a popular dish during the Christmas season. It is a dish made with puff pastry, filled up with ham, raisins, olives, etc.

🎼🎶ベネズエラのクリスマスでは音楽も重要です。「ガイタ」はベネズエラ発祥の音楽で、クリスマスシーズンにも好まれます。
Music is also a very important part of Venezuelan Christmas. 'Gaita' is Venezuelan-origined music and Venezuelans like listening to it also during Christmas. 🎵

「コーヒールンバ」で知られる「コーヒー豆を挽きながら」という曲が日本で最も有名なベネズエラの曲なようです。
'Moliendo Café', known as 'Coffee Rumba' is said to be the most famous Venezuelan song in Japan.☕️
